"I read an article on Jim Morrison and it said that he actually hated those iconic photos of him because it painted him more of a sex symbol than an artist. He valued himself a poet and he wanted people to appreciate him for his poetry and singing rather than his physical presentation. We are all many things and its ok to be beautiful on the outside and on the inside. My rendition of Jim Morrison, I believe, shows what we would see if we could see one's inner essence shining through their physical appearance."
